SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

A new vacancy has opened within the business for a dynamic individual qualified in the field of Actuarial Science. This role offers tremendous opportunity for growth and development, with ongoing support and encouragement to further studies.

The below summarises some of the responsibilities of this role:
Risk Analysis
Capital Modeling
Personal lines and commercial lines pricing
Portfolio analysis for various purposes such as reinsurance and reserving

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold an Actuarial Degree (or similar) from an accredited South African University with a good academic record, marked by strong analytical/ mathematical skills
Must be making solid progress through professional exams, with at least 4 CT’s (A100’s & A200’s) already completed

MINIMUM OTHER TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A minimum of 2 year’s work experience is required within the Short-Term Insurance Industry.We require at least 3-4 years relevant work experience in Short-Term Insurance pricing (personal lines and commercial lines), Risk analysis, capital modelling, reinsurance and reserving. Experience working within a licensed Short-Term Insurer or Risk Carrier is preferred.
Must be versatile and open to learning opportunities.
Must be fully computer literate and have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
SQL proficiency will be an advantage
