• 10 years Credit Management experience in an FMCG environment
• Experience with major Retail Chains & Independent Wholesale
• Experience in managing a book value of ± R 700 million
• Bad debt recovery
• Budget management of R 8 million
• Legal knowledge of customer hand over.
• SAP Experience (ERP System knowledge

Job description:

• Safeguard company assets by maintaining a high level of financial control within Accounts Receivable for Developed & Emerging market.
• Drive the AR collection process and Implement initiatives within Commercial and Supply Chain to optimise business cash flow.
• Evaluate customer risk assessments, review and approve all credit applications in line with company policy.
• Review & approval of annual credit limits for Top 100 customers in line with company policy & SOA.
• Resolve customer disputes with support from Commercial & Supply Chain departments through monthly credit committee meetings.
• Monitor & streamline controls and processes within own Department.
• Monitor COSO controls and processes & ensure compliance and reduce risk.
• Manage, supervise and provide support and guidance to the Retained Team and Shared Services Team.
• Develop good customer relations by visiting customers to enhance Simba’s image.
• Responsible for review & approval for all legal hand overs, bad debt provision and recovery of bad debts.
• Responsible for Department AOP & Balance Sheet AOP.
• Monthly and quarterly consolidation and presentation to the Business Leadership and Regional teams of Business and Balance Sheet results to include KPI commentary.
• Bi-Monthly touchdown with shared services team to align with KPI’s and challenges.
• Reporting on shared services KPI and MOR deck.
• Overview and review on bank reconciliation on AR bank account.
• Effective monthly management of AR cost centre
• Participate actively in projects and implement project solutions successfully.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the performance management process to drive business efficiency, employee engagement & development.
• Drive the implementation of employee engagement and development tools to optimise development & engagement.
• Ensure collaboration and alignment cross functionally to drive and implement key business projects.
