SUMMARY:
A vacancy has become available for an Accounts Payable Manager with one of our clients within the FMCG industry.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum qualification and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
- CIMA, CA or equivalent will be advantageous
- Syspro and Pastel experience
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience in FMCG will be advantageous
- Proven track record on managing a large and diverse book
- Team management and leadership experience required
Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
- Lead and manage a team of 20+ individuals
- Monitor performance and manage capacity
- Ensure that tight controls are implemented, monitored and maintained
- Ensure that supplier invoices are accurately recorded to the relevant general ledger expense codes
- Ensure that all supplier accounts are reconciled according to required standards
- Ensure that suppliers are paid on time working within cash flow objectives
- Responsible for reconciliation of the GRN suspense account
- Responsible for reconciliation of the NO GRN account
- Ensure that the accounts payable team are accurately updating LCT elements
- Manage and resolve outstanding claims and queries with suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement and assist in the implementation where required
- Responsible for weekly age analysis reporting
- Responsible for expenditure reporting as required
- Responsible for the accounts payable balance on the balance sheet for month end reporting, quarterly financial audits, annual Financial Statement audits
