SUMMARY:
A company based in Brooklyn, Pretoria is seeking to employ an Accounts Payable Administrator who will be responsible for accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient, timely, and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions. This position requires a highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated team player. The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Overview of duties

Review and approve purchase order receipts and initiate accounts payable bills;
Prepare payment batches and load them into the online banking platform;
Process payments after EFT payments were made;
Process credit notes and other necessary clearing transactions;
Reconcile balance sheet accounts;
Vendor management and reconciliations;
Send out supplier remittances and proof of payments;
Managing the cash floats.

Overview of requirements

Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification.
3-5 years in accounts payable or general accounting.
Advanced computer skills, especially Excel and financial software packages.
Proficiency in data entry and management.
Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Good written and verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
