Accounts Payable Clerk

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an immediately available Accounts Payable Clerk for a 6 month contract in CBD.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a multinational customer clearing, freight forwarding and ships agency with offices in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Walvis Bay.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE       :           TEMPORARY

SECTOR                            :           FINANCE

START DATE                    :           IMMEDIATE / A.S.A.P

DUTIES:

Maintain supplier records and recons

Archive credit applications & other documents

Control and maintain discounts

Identify, address and elevate problematic suppliers

Ensure compliance to systems, processes and controls

Ensure reports are completed and submitted timeously

Ad-hoc duties

REQUIREMENT:

Matric / Grade 12

National Certificate / Diploma

Exposure to supplier recons

Exposure to shipping / transport industry – advantageous

Good communication skills

Sound knowledge of Excel

Highly motivated and able to handle pressure
