Accounts/Financial Clerk
Based in Durban
Salary: R15 000 - R18 000ctc

A leading shipping organization requires a seasoned financial assistant to support the Financial Manager.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric
BCom Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
Drivers licence
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Experience in Finance background in Shipping specifically
Debtors /Creditors control
Follow up on queries with service providers and/or clients
VAT & PAYE
Daily Banking including bank reconciliations.
Debtors and Creditors book reconciliation of SOAs
Liaise with banks to investigate reconciling items
Ensure entries for key accounts are processed correctly on a monthly basis
Calculate shareholders loans, insurance, prepaid expenses
Process relevant entries on in-house Accounting Software
Mathematical Ability and Analytical Skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Must work well under pressure
Knowledge in accounting practices essential
