SUMMARY:
A Distribution company based in Midrand is looking for an Accounts Clerk with a major focus on Creditors/ Accounts Payable. Experience working on SAP is a minimum requirement. Candidates must be available immediately.

POSITION INFO:

Local/ Foreign Vendor Payments

Assist with processing of supplier invoices, credit notes
Ensure invoices reflect correct VAT, company details
Ensure all invoices are approved with PO’s attached
Follow up with suppliers for outstanding invoices, statements, POD
Preparation of monthly reconciliation
Payment batch preparation

Back-up/ Support

Act as a backup for the two Accounts Payable Clerks
Assist with supplier master data cleansing/verification for SAP implementation
Assist and act as a back-up for the T&E function
Assist team with compiling B-BBEE supplier information

Reconciliation

Perform both cashbook and supplier recons
Follow up on outstanding items
Request relevant documents internally/from supplier where relevant to close any outstanding items

Vendor Maintenance

Transition existing Cashbook vendor to AP
Collate all relevant supplier documents

Maintain Vendor Database

Ensure Vendor Application forms are completed/signed off with relevant supporting documentation stipulated on the form.
Update any vendor changes immediately in the ERP system
Ensure payment terms are aligned to the contract

Travel and Expense Claim

Checking and processing of monthly expenses

Year-End Audit

Assist with year-end audit queries
Complete instructions sent by managers and auditors
Clear previous management report points.

Education: Formal Qualifications
Level of Education:	Relevant accounting qualification is a minimum requirement
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years AP/Financial Accounts experience from a Distribution/ FMCG or Retail industry Working on SAP is a minimum requirement - Candidates without experience working on SAP will not be considered Ability to communicate clearly with external and internal parties Applicants must be available immediately
