Imports, Warehousing, and Distribution Company that supplies retail chain stores and online stalls seek a BCom Accountant to put systems, procedures, and processes in place and better the current manual antiquated systems. This is not just an accounting role, you will deal/negotiate with suppliers, automate systems, implement and manage new warehousing and scanner systems, and basically be trained to take over from the FD eventually. This is not a pure finance role, you will also need to understand business and business processes and be willing to learn. The position will also involve working closely with the Sales Director on costing, budgeting, stock, cost center, cost code, etc, orders, suppliers. May also delve into sales and marketing. You will need to be energetic, motivated with a good attitude and aptitude. You will be responsible for improving, presenting, and implementing new ideas and systems, improving current systems. We are looking for someone to perform duties outside of the job scope and be innovative and hands-on. Must-haves are advanced Excel (Pivots, VLookup, etc) and Pastel Evolution. We are looking for a long-term employee to grow with the company. The company is stable and in a good financial position and offers stability and growth to the correct candidate. English and Afrikaans and own car is a must.
