Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper for a permanent position based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Matric with 3+ years’ experience in the full accounting function including running payroll (Financial qualification desirable)
• Computer literate – Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll experience essential as well as MS Office
• Property industry experience would be beneficial
• General HR / Labour Relations knowledge

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Full debtors and creditors functions
• Intercompany loan accounts and journals, including depreciation
• Running payroll of 35+ staff including commission calculations and payments
• Cashbook processing on Pastel Partner
• Drawing up monthly management accounts of various entities for owner
• Preparing documents for auditors annually
• Calculation and submission of all SARS returns and reconciliations
• General administrative support to business owner as required

Salary:  R20 000.00 – R25 000.00 per month (non-negotiable)
