POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

A retail and property investment conglomerate boasting with a national footprint seeks a highly talented and experienced Property Accountant to join their finance team based in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs.

In this role, you will perform the full accounting function up to preparation of financial statements.

Duties include but not limited to:

Prepare monthly reconciliations

Cashbook entries and daily bank reconciliations

Prepare month-end journals

Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts

Support the annual financial audit process

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, processes and financial systems

Analyse financial information and provide feedback

Calculate and process interest

Preparation of monthly management pack

VAT reconciliation and submission

Income tax

Calculation of property valuations

Draft AFS

Assist with the calculation and submission of monthly statutory returns

Education:

BCom in finance or accounting

Qualified CIMA / SAIPA / ACA(SA)

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles is non-negotiable

2 to 3 years'' post article experience within the property or hospitality industry is non-negotiable

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

MDA system working knowledge

Financial acumen

 to Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
