Accountant, Pretoria – R 420 000 CTC

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Having opened their doors in 2011, this plant & its affiliates have shown no signs of holding back, & have been continuously growing. The family-owned factory’s state-of-the-art setup has allowed it to flourish. You will also have a sound team reporting to you. If a work-hard / play-hard environment is up your alley, then this is where you need to be!

Minimum requirements:

Essential:

• Recognised Accounting degree (BCom Accounting / BCompt Accounting Sciences
• Completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA)
• Strong MS Excel skills

Advantageous:

• Completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA)
• Any additional qualification (e.g., CTA)
• Pastel Evolution experience

Duties & responsibilities:

• Manage debtors / creditors clerks
• Maintain customer & supplier aging
• Reviewing reconciliations performed by finance team
• Maintain daily load schedule & liaise with third parties to resolve queries
• General management of the month end process & adherence to deadlines
• Monitor & analyse average cost & selling prices.
• Post & process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Processing & reconciling inter-group transactions
• Maintain balance sheet accounts & correlating schedules.
• Prepare & submit weekly/monthly reports as required
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other ad-hoc accounting projects

Remuneration & benefits:

• R ----- CTC (of which R 2 000 is a contribution to medical aid & R 2 000 a contribution to a retirement fund)
• 2 discretionary bonuses per year – midyear & December
