Accountant (JB2574)
Century City, Cape Town
R25 000 – R28 000 per month
Permanent, Office Based

Our client, an award winning function venue, is seeking the assistance of a energetic and bubbly Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in using OPERA product management system, have an understanding of MICROS point of sale and possess excellent Excel skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Financial Qualification (diploma) or studying towards a Financial degreeï‚·
Industry related experience in Hospitality will be an advantage
Proficient in Excel, OPERA product management system, understanding of MICROS point of sale
Good communication and report writing ability
Be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
To follow up on queries/reconciling items and action where necessary

Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the revenue generated by the hotels, was received and properly recorded into our Accounting system in a timely manner
To verify the credit card charges, charge vouchers and ledger charges with regard to the adequacy of approval procedure, legibility of signatures and addresses
To ensure all the revenues are entered correctly and balanced to the Front Office System
Processing of journals
Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items, including all cash and clearing account reconciliations
Assisting with BBEEE compliance and verification
General assistance to the Group Financial Manage
