Accountant: Central Accounting

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Accountant: Central Accounting

Responsible for Recording Journals, Performing Reconciliation and Producing Reports
Controls, Governance & Policies
implementation and maintenance of system of robust controls, procedures and policies
Support the Finance Shared Services
Ensure compliance to accounting policies
Assist the audit team
Responsible for month end close process
Responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations
Working with business partners
preparation of the Income Statements
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow
Analysis of trial balance
Analysis of income statement accounts
Analysis of expense accounts for tax submission to SARS
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements

Qualifications

BCom in Accounting

Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role

IFRS and Taxation experience

SAP system experience

Great plains system experience advantage

Hyperion Financial Management

Advanced excel skills

Intercompany accounting experience would be advantageous

Speed and accuracy with figures
Stakeholder management
Attention to detail
Proactive and ability to plan ahead
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressurised situations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills- upward, downward and lateral
