Accountant

Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet for senior management
Professional assisting in preparing budgets and business planning, including projected room standards revenue
Reconciling bank statements
Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT and PAYE
Chasing overdue payments, reporting bad debts, and keeping a careful eye on the cash flow

Skills & Experience:
At least two years of General Ledger and high-volume accounting
Working experience required Prior hotel/resort experience preferred
Must have strong financial competence
Experience and must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment
Skills Needed
Must have strong computer skills
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially
Excel & Outlook Good verbal communication skills

Qualification:
Matric
Financial/Accounting Degree
SAIPA/SAICA Articles( advantageous)
