National concern within the Food wholesale and Retail Sector seeks to employ a Accountant in Western Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

VACANCY – STORE ACCOUNTANT

PERMANENT POSITION BASED IN WESTERN CAPE

Salary – R 20 000.00 to R 25 000.00 Cost to Company

Minimum 5 years working experience as Financial Accountant including Articles

Minimum 3 years staff management experience

Three years post Articles experience

Retail / FMCG Working experience advantageous

Duties:-

- Full admin function including processing of cash book and journals

- Financial Accounting of Income statement and Balance Sheet

- Daily, weekly and monthly Reporting to Head Office

- Meeting all deadlines

- Review and reporting back to Executive Committee

- Reporting on store performance

- Liaising externally and Internally

- Dealing with Regional GM’s and Financial GM’s

- Asset management – Stock, assets, Debtors and Cash

- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Characteristics:-

Manage stress specifically in a cash flow constrained environment, Meet deadlines, Self-starter and able to work without supervision, Analytical and accurate

Attend all stock takes, 5 Day work position

Computer Packages:-

Pastel (Required) Evolution (advantage), Excel (Required)
