SUMMARY:
Logistical Company seeking a Accountant to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full Responsibility for ensuring accurate financial record keeping.
  • Ensure applicable policies and processes are created, documented, reviewed, signed off and adhere to
  • VAT and Bank Management
  • Monitor Daily Cash balances
  • Reconciling to monthly income statements
  • Providing support on budget process if needed
  • Regularly review the overall organizational expenditure to ensure the expenditure of all entities remain within budget
  • Continued analysis and review of current and new systems
  • Report on and resolve exceptions caused by system errors
  • Check and Execute Payments Daily/Weekly/Monthly
  • Check and signed off Creditors Reconciliation
  • Fixed Assets Management
  • Short term insurance claims
  • Intercompany Recoveries Management and recons.
  • Assist in Managing the year-end, interim and all month-end processing and reporting.
  • Management of Communication of intercompany accounts
  • Assist in managing the External audit process
  • Support the FM to deliver strategic initiatives
  • Various Ad hoc tasks
  • Preparations of weekly cashflow if needed.
  • Assist with Management of all Financial team members.
  • Management of Debtors Insurance.
  • Manage the Debtors Book, report on outstanding, send statements etc.
  • Assist the Creditors and Debtors staff and be back-up when they are on leave.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

  • BCom / Hons
  • 2-3 years working experience
