POSITION INFO:

 

Our client, who is based in the Winelands region, is looking for an Accountant to join their team.  Experience within the Fruit / FMCG industry will be beneficial. 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage full creditors process on producers (local and import)
• Capturing of produce and related cost elements & related adjustments
• Weekly preparations of payments to producers
• Sending of payment remittances to producers
• Reporting on producer payment summaries
• Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments
• Cashflow management
• Monthly updating of standard costs
• Invoicing of costs back to producers
• Management of balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost
• Various reporting
• Bank reconciliations
• Onboarding of new customers and producers
• Processing of commercial invoices and credit notes
• Preparation of weekly and monthly commercial creditor payments
• Monthly report on commercial creditors
• Any other relevant accounting functions as required

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• BCompt. Degree or BTech Degree
• Completed articles at registered auditing firm or minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience
• Understanding of the fruit industry would strengthen application
• Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
• Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential
• Forex handling
• Excellent organisational skills
• Energetic and disciplined
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work cooperative in a team
• High attention to detail is a pre-requisite
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

 

REMUNERATION

R18 000 – R25 000 depending on experience and qualifications
