SUMMARY:
Company with a national footprint in the Mining and Quarry industry, is seeking an Accountant to join their Finance team at their Centurion Offices.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Capturing of debtors and creditors.
Prepare financial management reports.
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
Monitor and support taxation issues.
Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
Analyse financial information to recommend and provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Capture banking transactions
Reconcile petty cash SAGE and site sheets.
Reconcile payroll journal and import accordingly.
Capture, monitor and report on BBBEE procurement spend.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

Accounting Diploma/Degree
5 + years working experience in a similar role
Completed articles
SAGE X3, Orbfusion and Pastel Partner experience
