My client is a manufacturing company and distributes ingredients to suit each market sector that focuses on every customer’s needs.  The finance team is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.

As the Accountant, you will be involved in every aspect of the finance department ensuring that the correct information is presented on a continuous basis.

As an Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

• Produce financial statements month to balance sheet
• Month journals entries
• Prepare monthly profit and loss and balance sheet
• Monthly profit and loss and balance sheet recons
• VAT returns
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Cashbook queries
• Year-end audit
• Fixed Asset Register
• Assist with stock takes
• Assist with annual budgeting

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)

Completed Bcom / Diploma in finance

Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position

Prior exposure within the Manufacturing environment would be beneficial.

Advanced knowledge of Syspro packages
