A medium-sized manufacturing and engineering conglomerate seeks a qualified and ambitious Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg East.

A medium-sized manufacturing and engineering conglomerate seeks a qualified and ambitious Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg East.

In this role, your main responsibility will be to take ownership of the financial department by managing daily finance functions. You will report to the CEO and be the person maintaining and developing reporting systems and processes.

Duties include, but not limited to

Monthly management reporting to EXCO

Assist the CEO on variance analysis

Analyzing variances, assist in prodution of journals

Accoutning computations and calculations

Identifying discrepancies and resolving of such

Liaising with international suppliers

Customer quotations

Education:

BCom in Accounting or equivalent

Registered / eligable to register as an AGA(SA) or PA(SA) will be highly beneficial

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles is a non-negotiable

2 to 3 years'' experience in a Financial Accountant role post-articles is a non-negotiable

Sage or Pastel experience is a non-negotiable

Payroll experience

FAR experience

Advanced MS Excel skills

Sound knowledge and understanding og related financial legislation and processes

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player
