Accountant

SUMMARY:
If you are a Senior Accountant with 8 years’ experience within the Logistics or Exports industry, we are looking for you. Our client, a top export company, is recruiting for a Senior accountant with people management experience and impeccable knowledge of the full accounting function to join and grow within their finance team.

POSITION INFO:

Monthly reconciliation of intercompany loans and controls accounts

Monthly Vendor reconciliation

Monthly journals and calculations.

Reconciliation of rebates

Set up and maintain accounting system

Compiling and analyzing management accounts timely

Budget compilation and comparison

Preparing and analyzing financial operational reports

Monitoring and enforcing compliance procedures

Implementation of new procedures and training of staff

Audit preparation, prepare audit file and assist with audit queries

Provide auditors with financial information required during the audit

Support team members with daily queries

Supervision of financial staff members

Monthly reconciliations, submissions and VAT payments

Quarterly statistical compilation for Department of Labor

Maintenance of company file compliant with CIPC

Provide financial information and clarification for SARS audits

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience as an Accountant  

People Management experience

Advanced Excel Skills Non-Negotiable

Qualification:

A Degree in Finance is essential

SAIPA or SAICA Articles are beneficial
