Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client, a top performer in the food manufacturing industry is looking for a professional and outgoing accountant to join their team. They will require someone with the ability to help run the finance department, whilst assisting with the full finance function. VIP payroll is a must have alongside previous work experience.

POSITION INFO:

Assisting in the monthly preparation and reporting of management accounts including balance sheets and income statements

Monthly payroll and weekly payroll assistance

Assisting in the preparation and management of the annual financial audit

Assisting in the preparation and management of the annual BEE audit

Processing of monthly recurring journals

Performing month-end and year-end close processes

Assisting with data analytics

Assisting with creditors function

Capture and Reconcile the cash book.

Preparing weekly and monthly cash flow reports.

Capturing suppliers’ invoices on accounting system

Weekly balancing of inter-Company accounts

Reconciling the supplier accounts

Liaising with suppliers

Full debtors function

Daily monitoring of Claims and Queries with retailers and operations to resolve claims timeously

Managing the Age Analysis

Raising monthly and daily Invoices

Sending monthly customer statements and invoices

Skills & Experience:

VIP payroll experience is essential

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position

Debtors experience dealing with retailers very beneficial

Stable work track record

Syspro knowledge is advantageous

Qualification:

Degree or Qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping
