SUMMARY:
An exciting and growing company in Cape Town is looking for an independent and meticulous Accountant to join their team and assist in the day to day running of the financial department. The ideal candidate will have a stable work track record, do the full financial function including payroll and have great work ethic.

POSITION INFO:

Assisting in the monthly preparation and reporting of management accounts including balance sheets and income statements

Monthly payroll and weekly payroll assistance

Assisting in the preparation and management of the annual financial audit

Assisting in the preparation and management of the annual BEE audit

Processing of monthly recurring journals

Performing month-end and year-end close processes

Assisting with data analytics

Assisting with creditors function

Capture and Reconcile the cash book

Preparing weekly and monthly cash flow reports

Capturing suppliers’ invoices on accounting system

Weekly balancing of inter-Company accounts

Reconciling the supplier accounts

Liaising with suppliers

Full debtors function

Daily monitoring of Claims and Queries with retailers and operations to resolve claims timeously

Managing the Age Analysis

Raising monthly and daily Invoices

Sending monthly customer statements and invoices

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position

VIP payroll experience Non-Negotiable

Debtors experience dealing with retailers very beneficial

Stable work track record

Syspro knowledge is advantageous

Qualification:

Degree or Qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping
