POSITION INFO:

Main Responsibilities

Assets

• Registration of Capital Votes against budget provision
• Disposal and transfer of assets
• Asset Capitalisation
• Capex Budget – Annual preparation and compiling of departmental capex budget
• Annual Asset verification and Useful Life Assessment – Compile electronic asset register for verification purpose and useful life assessment for all departments to conduct.
• Monthly reconciliation
• Annual (Year-end) – Closing off and balancing all outstanding assets. Preparation of year end reporting and reconciliation of all assets.

 Accounting Administration

• Preparation and compiling of Management Accounts and Profit Estimates.
• Preparation of monthly journals and reconciliation thereof.
• Capturing financial information on Group financial platform
• Preparation of Intercompany transaction schedules and journals
• Manage Petty Cash
• VAT – Monthly VAT reconciliation and preparation for online submission.
• BEE Figures – compiling of various supplier spend monthly
• OPEX – Ledger extraction for various cost centres.
• Assist in OPEX  Budget reports and Analytics.
• Assist in drafting Monthly reports.
• Assist in drafting Annual Financial Statements.
• Analyse various accounts

 General

• Assist in general day to day accounting queries, assistance to the Financial Manager.
• Monthly creditors file review and approve payments.
• Safe keeping – Updating and retention of Annual Financial Statements.
• Updating and Maintaining of policies and procedures /forms in relation to Assets and Vehicles
• Cashbook payments
• General office housekeeping – office requirements
• Assisting in annual insurance questionnaires
• Assisting in statutory submissions
• Assisting in monthly forecasting

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
• National Diploma or BTech in Finance/Accounting
• B.com Degree (advantageous)
• 5 years prior experience
• Asset control experience (advantageous)
• Strong knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Strong knowledge of VAT legislation
