JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing the month end reports and VAT returns. The Accountant will be responsible for monthly processing of journals, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monthly intercompany loan reconciliations. The Accountant will be responsible for managing and reviewing the debtors, creditors, and bookkeeping functions as well as create new GL accounts and assist with other ad-hoc duties.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Syspro/Accpac is non-negotiable
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Confident and assertive
• Knowledge of economic principles
• Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
