POSITION INFO:

My Client, an international brand, is looking take on an Accountant to assist the Financial Manager in their day to day operations. The role will be responsible for the capturing of the daily and monthly transactions accurately and in accordance with reporting and procedural standards, responsible for the full Creditors and Debtors function and reconciling accounts and month-end / year-end close offs of all sub-ledgers.

Responsibilities:

Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Capture accounts payable invoices and perform reconciliations.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Process all bank statement transactions.
Full creditors and debtors control function.
Post ad-hoc and month-end prepayment, provision and fuel gains/losses journals.

Requirements:

BComm or equivalent Financial qualification
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good knowledge of MS Office. Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP/Sage/Pastel)
