Accountant - Riversdale - Western Cape
POSITION INFO:
Our cliënt in the Manufacturing Industry is requiring the services of an Accountant.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor''s degree in finance or accounting
• 2 to 5 years’ accounting experience
• Knowledge of/experience in Microsoft Office, Sage Evolution and Pastel Payroll advantageous
• Analytical mind, meticulous with ability to work under pressure
Duties (include, but not limited to):
- Process cash books and perform bank reconciliations
- Management and reconciliation of petty cash
- Posting general journals for month-end
- Pull up and record general journals for month-end
- Payments prepared on banking platform
- Post invoices on system for creditors and make out for debtors
- Prepare VAT201 reconciliations and returns
- Prepare EMP201 returns (exposure to EMP501 return reconciliations would be beneficial)
- Assist with income tax returns (will be beneficial)
- Analysis of inventory reports
- Assist with audit queries
- Handle insurance claims / inquiries
- Assist with budgets and management statements
- Assist with administrative tasks
