SUMMARY:
My elite private Education client is currently looking for an Accountant to join their team on a 6 month contract based in Johannesburg. This person would report directly to and assist the Finance Manager with all finance related tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification required:
  • BCom / BTech / Diploma
 Skills and experience required: 
  • Previous experience in the education industry would be advantageous
  • Experience on SAGE would be advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of South African Tax Legislation
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment
Job description:
  • Report to Finance Manager
  • Assist with preparation if budgets and forecasts
  • Assist with tracking of actuals vs budgets
  • Assist with tracking of brand financial performance
  • Reconcile GL monthly and annually
  • Assist with cashflow information
  • Assist with audits
  • Assist with tax
  • Prepare information for statutory return
  • Respond to financial queries from parents and other stakeholders
