Accountant (6 month FTC)

Job & Company Description:

A well-established distributor and exporter of fruits and vegetables seeks an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a 6 month contract. This role will be based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Accurate accounting records and adherence to company policies and IFRS standards

Accounts Payable

Oversee, review, post and process invoices

Assist Financial Clerks with queries

Create Weekly payment batches

Payroll Administration

GL Recons

Operational Cost Control & Budget Management

Period Close Reporting

Education:

BCom in Accounting / Finance

Skills & Experience:

3 to 4 years' experience within a similar role

Experience in the FMCG or agriculture industries is preferred

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
