A well-established consulting firm seeks an Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg West. The company boasts with over 20 years' of industry experience. *Please note: This is a contract role for 4 months. There is a strong chance for this position to go permanent if you perform well in the role.

A well-established consulting firm seeks an Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg West. The company boasts with over 20 years'' of industry experience.

*Please note: This is a contract role for 4 months. There is a strong chance for this position to go permanent if you perform well in the role.

The purpose of this position will be to maintain accurate financial records. Duties will include but not limited to daily transactional accounting, financial management and assisting with the budgeting and audit processes for various clients.

The successful incumbent will be someone who can withstand the pressure surrounding accounting and SARS tax deadlines, as well as have the ability to work independently.

Education:

Relevant financial qualification

Job Experience & Skills Required:

5 to 6 years’ experience in a full accounting function role

Audit / accounting firm experience will be preferred

Pastel Partner experience is non-negotiable

Xero Accounting or Sage Accounting experience non-negotiable

Advanced MS Excel skills

Good understanding of accounting principles

Good relationship building skills

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Strategic thinker

Team player

Deadline driven

Meticulous attention to detail

Own reliable transport is non-negotiable
