POSITION INFO:
Our client is a fast-growing private education group reaching over 6,000 learners nationwide and they’re expanding. Fast.

They’re looking for an Accountant to work closely with the Head of Finance, supporting current learning communities in the short-term and helping build a scalable finance function for future growth. This is not a “keep things ticking” role. It’s a build, refine and optimise opportunity, where your input will shape systems, processes and controls across a growing network of schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Keep accounting records accurate, complete and audit-ready each month
Prepare management accounts (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow)
Manage accounts payable, procurement support, reconciliations, and payments
Oversee accounts receivable, billing, collections, provisions and the age analysis
Support audit processes and respond to external audit queries
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
Strengthen internal controls and support internal audit processes
Help design and implement systems, processes and automation for scale

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
5+ years’ experience in an accounting role
Education sector experience advantageous
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
A committed team player with strong communication ability
Self-starter who takes initiative and drives improvement
