POSITION INFO:
Key Requirements:
- Perform all accounting and bookkeeping duties related to the role
- Prepare monthly and standard journals, including finance leases, depreciation, GL allocations, prepayments, provisions, and accruals
- Complete Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliations for all crossâborder branches in local currencies, with emphasis on interâcompany loan accounts, ensuring strict deadlines are met
- Prepare multiâcurrency reports and consolidate into Group Currency, with focus on interâcompany loan accounts
- Maintain the Asset Register for all crossâborder branches on a monthly basis
- Prepare, submit, and process payments for VAT / WH VAT / WHT for crossâborder branches within statutory timelines
- Reconcile VAT GL accounts to revenue authority statements, ensuring full statutory compliance and accurate documentation for crossâborder imports and exports
Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (NQF6 /7) or equivalent.
- Strong accounting background plus a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position and/or environment
- Good interpersonal, communication and telephone skills
- Computer literacy, including MS Office with proficiency in Syspro 8 and Advanced Excel
- Strong understanding of imports, exports, and foreign currency reporting
