POSITION INFO:
Our client is a fast-growing engineering and construction projects house, delivering exciting developments and expanding their footprint across the industry. With projects gaining momentum, they’re strengthening their finance team and looking for an Accountant to support the Senior Group Accountant on the property development and management side of the business. This is a hands-on role where your numbers directly support project success, from tracking costs to ensuring financial reporting is rock solid. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, project-driven environment where no two days look the same, you’ll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage bookkeeping processes up to balance sheet level
Prepare journals, reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
Assist with project cost tracking and financial reporting
Support month-end processing and management accounts preparation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Support audits and assist the Senior Group Accountant with ad-hoc financial projects

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
CIMA studies preferred, or SAIPA qualified
3+ years accounting experience in a services or project-based environment
Strong understanding of bookkeeping through to balance sheet
Solid Excel skills and attention to detail
Analytical mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
