SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for solving reconciliation challenges and managing financial risk?

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leader in digital product distribution, is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the Stock & Reconciliation Financial Manager in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records relating to virtual airtime stock and online integrations.

This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigating and resolving daily reconciliation exceptions
Performing full accounting functions including journal preparation, invoice postings, supplier account reconciliations, and commission calculations
Managing customer and supplier relationships from a finance perspective
Monitoring and maintaining financial controls around ERP processing
Reviewing and maintaining creditor reconciliation processes, with a focus on commission accuracy
Performing stock reconciliation between control accounts and the general ledger (AP, AR, Stock)
Validating supplier payments and monthly reconciliations
Investigating inventory discrepancies between warehouse records and the ERP system
Ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards around inventory accounting
Addressing and clearing reconciliation review notes timeously
Contributing to ad-hoc finance projects and continuous process improvements

Requirements:

BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
3+ years of experience in a similar accounting/reconciliation role
Strong understanding of stock accounting, ERP systems, and reconciliations
High attention to detail and the ability to manage exceptions and risk
Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
