We’re searching for a rare blend of precision and passion — a qualified PA(SA) who has cut their teeth in a small to mid-sized firm, completed SAIPA articles, and brings at least 2 years’ commercial experience to the table.
This isn’t your average accounting role. This is for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, dive deep into the detail, and drive continuous improvement — not because they have to, but because they can’t help themselves. You’re hands-on, proactive, and laser-focused on creating real impact.
Based in the Northern Suburbs, this business wants more than just technical competence (though you’ll need plenty of that too). They’re after someone with presence, someone who leads with confidence, influences stakeholders, and brings a sharp commercial edge to the finance function.

POSITION INFO:

As the Accountant, your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Oversee and maintain accurate asset registers and ensure effective asset management practices
Take ownership of stock control, including monitoring and managing inventory levels
Support the Financial Manager in preparing management accounts, forecasts and budgets
Provide insightful financial analysis on business performance, trends, cost structures and revenue streams
Offer strategic input to operational managers where needed
Assist in maintaining and enhancing financial systems and record-keeping processes
Focus on automating and leveraging technology
Prepare and review financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and alignment with compliance standards and internal controls
Report any anomalies or irregularities within the finance department to the Financial Manager and Managing Director
Ensure that access to financial information always remains strictly controlled and confidential
Delegate filing responsibilities to the appropriate finance team members
Prevent backlog and maintain an efficient document management system
Oversee the accounting processes related to product development
Ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage and maintain the internal system

Skills & Experience:
2 years of post-article experience
Proven experience performing the financial accounting duties

Qualification:
PA(SA) designation
BCom Honours
Grade 12 (Matric)
