Our client has an opportunity for an Accountant to join their Finance Team.

Requirements

• Prepare and analyse financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable

• Proficiency in accounting software, are key. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Preparation:
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
• Account Reconciliation
• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. 
• Record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collection of payments, and follow-up on outstanding balances. 
• Accounts Payable Management:
• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, making timely payments, and reconciling vendor statements. 
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights for decision-making. 
• Audit Support:
• Provide support to internal and external auditors by gathering documentation, answering queries, and assisting with audit procedures. 
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and company policies. 
• Data Analysis:
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights to management. 
• Software Proficiency:
• Be proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and other relevant software. 
• Communication:
• Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders, including management, employees, and external parties. 
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions. 
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a strong attention to accuracy.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with internal and external audits.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and tax laws.
