Accountant – Property

SUMMARY:
Are you performing the Full Accounting Function, including preparation of Annual Financial Statements, and working on MDA? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant with property experience and good longevity in their previous roles, dealing with TAX, VAT and Annual Financial Statements.

POSITION INFO:

Prepare monthly reconciliations - Reconcile discrepancies  

Process cashbook entries and prepare daily bank reconciliations

Prepare month end journals

Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts

Support the annual financial audit process

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, processes, and financial systems

Analyze financial information and provide detailed explanations on variances

Calculate and process interest on loans

Preparation of monthly management pack

VAT reasonability, reconciliation, and submission

Income tax (incl. provisional tax) calculations and submissions

Deferred tax calculations

Calculation of property valuations

Draft AFS – Standalone as well as consolidation

Assist management with projects within the finance department

Assist with the calculation and submission of monthly statutory returns (VAT, provisional tax, dividends tax, annual returns, tax compliance certificates)

Review and audit work completed by other departments

Ad-hoc financial related tasks

Skills & Experience:

Experience working on MDA

Experience working in a Property Management company or division of a company.

Qualification:

BCom Accounting or similar

Completed Articles will be advantageous
