Academic Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
An Education and Training Institution is looking for an Academic Operations Manager, with proven leadership and personnel management skills to join the Team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of work.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification & Experience

• Minimum is a Matric
• Education and/or Management qualification
• 5 years relevant experience with exposure in Events and Academic Administration
• Computer literate
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (preferable)
• Availability to work overtime during peak periods
• Be able to operate in a very diverse environment
•  

• Design and structure a sound effective process to manage the Accommodation and Exemption process according to internal and external (SACAI and DBE) policy.
• Coordination and directing of the assessment integrity process.
• Develop and manage a strong, representative and qualified base of independent assessors.
• Coordinate the presentation of practical and oral assessment events throughout the country.
• Maintain management information to allow sound and informed management decisions in this regard.
• Highlight risk areas with alternatives to allow the management team to support you with sound decisions.
• Liaising with subject specialist(s) and assessment development regarding assessment events.
• Conduct training, implement, evaluate, and improve processes continually.
• Recruit, supervise and manage dedicated personnel (Full time and temp) according to the requirements.
• Measure performance and establish continuous training programs within your section as well as other client facing sections.
• Create an internal policy in line with DBE and examination board policy for approval.
• Keep updated and familiar with Examination Board and National Education Policies
