Our Client a Global tech firm is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to join their team in Cape town on a contract basis.

AWS Dev Ops Engineer

Dev-Ops Engineer:

• Experience in provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
• Certified on at least one: AWS DevOps Engineering, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
• Proficient with AWS services: Compute and Network, Storage and CDN, Database, Analytics, Application Services, Deployment, and Management
• Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, serverless architecture, databases, and networking
• Familiarity interacting with AWS APIs
• AWS Disaster Recovery design and deployment across regions a plus
• Experience in these AWS services are a must - Lambda, S3, SQS, Cloudwatch, CloudFront, QuickSight, SPI Gateway, Cognito, AWS RDS - MySQL, Apache Kafka, Direct Connect, Amplify, ELB, Fargate, Route 53
• Standing up and administering on premise Kafka platform. Provide expertise in Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center, Create topics, setup redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools, alerts and has good knowledge of best practices
