About the role:

PBT currently has a role for an AWS Data Engineer to provide strategic technology input and be responsible to build, maintain and complement world-class data science platforms and systems. Being passionate about maintaining and developing cloud-based solutions and processes is essential to this role. Building scalable and secure data mart and pipeline as well as performing complex calculations

About you:

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 Years Experience in Python, Spark, PySparkandon Hadoop administration and development, with a key understanding of Hive and Hive Meta-store
• 2 to 5 years experience in SQL, Databases and software engineering with a focus on serverless applications and computing in the Cloud.
• Ability to design and articulate solutions.
• Understanding of Advanced Analytics/Data Science platforms beneficial
• Knowledge of SAP and BW/Business Intelligence systems is helpful.
• Proven experience of core AWS services and features for Data Engineering:
• AWS EMR and EMR Notebooks
• AWS Glue (Data-Catalogue) and ETL (scripted jobs with change from Glue Context to Spark Context)
• AWS IAM
• AWS StepFunctions
• AWS S3
• AWS REDSHIFT and AURORO DB
• AWS Inter-Account AccessDesign and setup for data transfer
• Knowledge of working with VPC Subnets
• AWS Lambda functions
• An AWS DEV-OPS or AWS Architecture or AWS Big Data Associate certification would be beneficial
