AUTOMOTIVE MOULDING MANAGER (PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDING)

Automotive Moulding Manager (Plastic Injection Moulding), Rosslyn, R50 – 60k ctc

• B.Comm Production Management (non negotiable)
• Knowledge of and at least 5 years’ experience Injection Moulding machines is essential;
• Automotive component manufacturing experience essential ;
• Excellent Knowledge & Experience in OHSAct and implementation thereof
• Energetic go-getter who is results driven;
• Hands-on performer, willing and capable to lead by example;
• Excellent computer knowledge and skills
• Excellent at organizing, planning and prioritizing work

DUTIES :

• Run a 5 minute start up meeting with team – feedback on quality awareness and production concerns through the plant.
• Ensure all operators have the necessary tools, training and equipment available to carry out process specific functions.
• Ensure shift handover is carried out with relief shift and relate all concerns or improvements.
• Drive employee training (On and off the job)
• Attend 2 hourly production meetings in clean room.
• Ensure that the daily programme is achieved by ensuring the efficient use of resources
• Complete and submit timesheets as per attendance register
• Ensure any planned weekend work is communicated to the team
• Ensure NCR documents are addressed, closed and monitored and feedback given to the team.
• Introduce and monitor controls and incentives to maintain the average internal reject rate below the agreed targets.
• Ensure strict adherence to laid down process standards and controls, and maintain all documentation pertaining to process control as laid down in the Quality Policy and Process Manuals.
• Maintain discipline and motivation of the production personnel through daily communication of targets and objectives and the individual allocation of responsibilities.
• Participate in contract review activities with a view to introducing and monitoring all process, components and facilities.
• Institute and control individual and group “visual measurement” records at work stations and strategic locations in the plant, in order to measure and monitor performance against targets and standards.
