AUDIT MANAGER / EAST LONDON - A well-established firm based in East London is looking for an Audit Manager
The successful Candidate will provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast-growing clients to large entities. As the Audit manager, you''ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution, and provide accounting advise to smaller clients.
Minimum Requirements:
Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
Qualified CA (SA) - Preferred
Minimum 2 - 3 years’ post articles experience
Registered as a SAICA Assessor advantageous
Must be computer literate including the usage of CaseWare (At least 10 sets of financial statements must have been prepared by the Candidate on CaseWare);
Must be able to show knowledge of PROBE Auditing software.
Strong business and technical understanding of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to process client information accurately;
Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks;
Attention to detail and the ability to self-review.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing a diverse client portfolio;
Reporting to a partner responsible for the portfolio within the assurance division;
Managing of client portfolios with local connections;
Coaching and training of junior staff;
Administration duties related to client portfolios;
Facilitating training to audit trainees; and Performance of SAICA performance reviews for audit trainees.
Planning of staff on various assignments and ensuring that the staff are completing their assignments.
Review of audit file to ensure compliance with an External Audit quality review.
Preparation of proposals for audit and other related services that the Firm provides.
Preparation of income tax computations and deferred tax computations.
Managing of the assignment budgets to ensure that all engagements are within the budget.
Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.
Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively.
Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.
Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm''s/client''s expectations.
Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.

Salary – Market Related (depending on experience)
