A manufacturing company in the east rand is looking to employ an Audit Assistant

POSITION INFO:

Job- Title (Audit Assistant)

Job Description:

1. Assistant internal auditors ensure organizations’ accounting procedures and systems are accurate.
2. Carry out a full audit of an organization; including accessing risk and taking the necessary risk management steps to forestall fraud
3. Ensure control management regarding financial reliability and compliance by making sure that directions and regulations are strictly adhered to
4. Assisting preparing reports that clearly reflects the audit results
5. Obtain, analyse, and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, and data
6. Assist to document the audit process and prepares audit findings
7. Assist to do a follow-up on the audit assignments giving to other department/branch
8. Check all accounting process and clients’ databases
9. Regularly update clients’ accounts to function properly
10. Assist inspecting budgets, balance sheets and other related financial records and statements
11. Help to review and proffer solution to internal audit issues
12. Check and verify all accounting books and records in conformity with industry standards, best practices, and company guidelines
13. Ensure total compliance with regulatory guidelines and internationally accepted auditing standards
14. Assist Participating in meetings with different departments to update audit findings and improve on the audit process
15. Work in a team to achieve the aims and objectives of the company
16. May work for longer hours during audit periods in order to meet certain targets
17. Recommend the best and proven ways for company to avoid fraud and reduce risks
18. Assisting on a thorough analysis of the audit reports in order to find out ways how the organization can make more profits and reduce lost
19. Assisting to supervise, train, and mentor staff, including interns on audit processes
20. Assisting to conduct risk assessments and also prepare risk registers
21. Assisting to Evaluate the internal control
22. Work harmoniously with external auditors as requested
23. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the international finance & assurance manager 

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, or Finance
2. Proven teamwork and problem-solving abilities
3. Strong ability to work on multiple tasks or assignments
4. Possess excellent communication skills
5. Able to pay attention to detail
6. Possess strong organizational skills
7. Possess a high level of professionalism, integrity, and truthfulness in all dealings
8. Knowledge of legal and financial systems
9. Ability to do proper documentation; possess good record keeping ability
10. Possession of sound independent judgment
11. Possess strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
12. Possess advanced skills in computer applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other accounting software
13. Strong ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
14. Ability to make presentations to a select group within company.
