ASSISTANT RESTAURANT & STORE MANAGER - Glenfair Pretoria

SUMMARY:
Our client has been in SA for 23 years and specialize in manufacturing and marketing of an exceptional brand of customized frozen cakes and deserts for foodsevice market and their retail patisseries. They are looking for an Assistant store manager to join their team who reports to the Store manager.

POSITION INFO:

Your strengths

• Grade 12/Matric
• Qualification related to the Hospitality industry
• Previous experience of 3-5 years in the Hospitality or Retail Industry in a management position.
• Knowledge of GAAP system
• Computer Literate
• High level of numeracy
• Good knowledge of acceptable business practice and accounting principles
• Sales skill / training
• Staff management experience
• Food safety / HACCP training
• Understanding of Coffee and Pastry production
• Drivers licence and own car will be an advantage
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English with report writing skills and compilation ability

The candidate must be able to effectively and efficiently head the store, manage the resources of the staff and ensure that the quality of workmanship and hygiene systems are in place, whilst maximizing profitability

Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:

• Cash handling procedures
• Ordering of stock
• Participating in the day to day running of the shop
• Financial and Stock Control
• Customer Service and Sales
• Staff Management and Training
• Maintaining hygiene standards
• Performing clerical and typing duties
• Special projects and additional duties as assigned
