Job Description
Duties & Requirements for Lodge Manager: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position. Hosting guests during breakfast, lunch and dinner on a rotating shift basis. Must be service orientated and know how to host and entertain guests. Food and beverage skills essential. Must be able to deal with stock control of all lodge liquor and curio stock. Knowledge of booking systems and reservations management (e.g. nightsbridge) Must have good admin & finance skills. Previous experience in managing housekeeping advantageous. Highly organised and self-motivated. Looking for someone with initiative to constantly improve our guest experience. Able to draft invoices and communicate with guests via email. Marketing skills advantageous. Previous experience in dealing with agents highly advantageous. Sales experience advantageous. Will assist the GM in day to day operations and run the operations while the GM is away. Drivers license essential. Zulu language skills highly advantageous.
Duties & requirements for Head Guide: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a head guide. Lead trails essential. Own rifle advantageous. Minimum Fgasa level 1. Level 2 advantageous. Good Photography skills necessary. Advanced Birding skills necessary. Relevant guiding qualifications are up to date – Rifle competency, first aid, PDP, DEAT reg etc. Excellent hosting skills. Must be able to manage junior guides and upskill his team. Must ensure the guided experience for guests is constantly improving and kept to the highest standards. Will need to manage all game drive equipment and ensure it is kept in good condition. Will need to manage game viewers and ensure they are kept in good working condition. Will possibly need to manage social media accounts and create content for Instagram and Facebook, as well as produce blogs. Good writing and marketing skills are highly advantageous. Zulu language advantageous.

Accommodation: 3 Bedroom house with private garden and stunning views overlooking the reserve. Use of vehicles while on duty for transport to and from the lodge. 7 days off per month, the remainder on duty. 21 days annual leave. No medical aid. UIF included. Meals while on duty
