An upmarket Retirement Estate and Geriatric Care Facility located in Johannesburg Northern Suburbs.
Job Description
An upmarket retirement estate located in Johannesburg North requires a formally qualified and registered Nursing sister and Manager with Geriatrics specialist experience. The role will manage roughly 20 medical care staff, control all administration, stock ordering and control, Health and Hygiene, Training, Patient Monitoring and Liaison, draw up care plans for the facility (16 Frail-Care and 16 Mid-Care beds). The position is available immediately as the current incumbent will be leaving at the end of May.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – No weekends or public holidays (except in emergency) – 06h00 to 15h30

Qualifications
Qualified and Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council. Diploma as Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council. Qualification in the care of older persons strongly recommended. Experience in geriatric nursing strongly recommended.
Skills
Mature, 20+ Years of Nursing experience required. Emotionally Intelligent, Solid and Matronly character and personality required. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Well experienced particularly within Geriatric care and ideally within a Retirement or Old Age Care Facility. At least 1 year of care and support care service delivery to older persons. Positive self image/assertive. Accountability and responsibility. Integrity and loyalty. Enthusiasm. Calm and alert. Flexible. Effective communication (written and oral). Consistent.
