Job Description
Our client, a sole practitioner Lawyer, seeks the assistance of a mature High Court Litigation Secretary/Office Assistant. The main Director has been in practice for over 30 years, an old school practitioner. The practice does a lot of High Court Litigation, deceased estates, some basic conveyancing, and Commercial Contracts but he is happy to walk the person through the processes so long as they learn quickly. The firm operates on mostly manual systems, so All Litigation Typing (With Templates) and Invoicing is done manually in sequence. and He is often at Court so this person must basically be at the practice, man the phones, do the litigation typing, dictaphone typing, and dictation typing when he is there. The role would suit a more mature person who can work independently and who is happy not to have others working in the office with them. Will assist with Reception duties and generally manning the practice when he is at court.
Qualifications
Relevant Qualifications are an advantage.
Skills
Fully Bilingual in English and Afrikaans. Good Typing and Dictation/Dictaphone Typing Skills. Experienced with High Court Litigation Typing. Able to work independently and assisting with invoicing.
