Job Description
The ideal candidate’s key performance areas will be:
All aspects of claims handling including:
- New claims registration
- Assess merits of claim in terms of policy wording
- Appointment of contractors/loss adjusters
- Authorisation / rejection of claims
- Requests for claims payments
- Liaison with brokers and service providers
Minimum 7-10 Years Senior Claims Negotiator experience required within Industrial/Commercial Building Insurance sector required.
This Senior Claims Negotiator will report to one of 4 Claims Supervisors who report to the Junior Claims Manager who report to the Head of Claims Manager. Team of 38 in total.
Qualifications
Education: (not negotiable) Matric. A minimum of 7-10 years’ commercial claims experience (Ideally Commercial Buildings Insurance Claims experience) in the insurance industry. Short-term Insurance qualifications will be an added advantage. Being FAIS compliant will be an added advantage.
Skills
Attention to detail. Deadline orientated. Strong admin skills with an ability to prioritize workload. Good interpersonal skills Assertive. Must be fluent in English and have a good understanding and ideally speak Afrikaans. Computer Literacy (MS Word, Outlook and Excel). UMA/Underwriting Management Company experience preferred.
Salary / Package
R25,000-R35,000 Negotiable CTC
