SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Accountant to join their dynamic team, you will report to the Financial Director and carry out the following key functions: The ideal candidate must be a self-starter as they offer excellent career growth and opportunities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12/ equivalent
An Accounting / Bookkeeping certificate or diploma
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field will be an advantage

Experience and Requirements:

Minimum of 5 or more years working experience in a similar position
Syspro would be an advantage
Very strong MS Excel and Word skills
A stable work record and contactable references
Reside close to Roodepoort
Reliable transport
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A clear ITC and Criminal record
Preferably a non-smoker

Duties and responsibilities:

Bank & General Ledger reconciliation
Processing and reconciliation of creditors
Processing of month end journals
Assist with VAT and PAYE calculation and submissions
Processing and reconciliation of cashbooks
Prepare and process journals for inter-company loan accounts
Balance inter-company loan accounts
Maintain fixed asset register
Assist in the managing of the external audit
Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
General administrative tasks
