JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting Senior 3rd Line Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer role has become available to work in our growing innovative team.

This is a great opportunity to join one of our core business teams, and play a key role in the support, maintenance and development of complex cloud infrastructures
Main purpose of job:
The core focus of this position will be to work with emerging technologies in order to automate and configure services based on cloud platforms.

You will need to build a good understanding of the cloud environments so that you can accurately monitor them and diagnose potential failures. You will also take responsibility for keeping documentation up to date, maintaining relationships with vendors, general housekeeping of cloud environments, and getting involved in projects related to cloud technologies.

We are looking for someone with proven experience at third line level, and ideally with exposure to an MSP environment or similar.

Main duties & Objectives

Establishing, Designing, Building, Owning and Maintaining IT And Digital communication Infrastructure, including Cloud (Azure and AWS) and Server infrastructure, Wireless, LAN, Edge, and Cloud Networks
Establishing and maintaining digital communication software, including Microsoft365 Exchange Online, User Identities and Access Management
External partner relationships and engagement where required
Internal and external stakeholder relationships to collaborate across systems and services
Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment

Essential – Non negotiable

Experience in Microsoft Cloud Networking design and deployment
Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS.
Azure, Microsoft365 and general cloud-based technologies
Cloud IaaS, PaaS, Hybrid Cloud Experience
Azure services, leveraging PaaS services such as Azure Monitor, Sentinel, Backup to deliver best practice monitoring and management.
Virtualisation technologies, Hyper-V or VMware.
Microsoft PowerShell and other scripting technologies
Backup technologies, Acronis or Veeam.
Good understanding of networking, IP addressing, firewalling and public DNS.
Experience working with server hardware and storage.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

Desirable

Citrix Networking technologies, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix CPX, SD-WAN,
Citrix Cloud, XenApp, XenDesktop
AWS Certifications
DevOps experience advantageous (Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
